Stop playing Vagrant Hearts because of a frustrating Bug

Soooo... After Beatrice exited the monastery, let's skip to Scarllet's party. She is told to meet Patriarch Zucca and Sarvius in the cave. Zucca says that someone in Brotherhood is trying to resurrect Valmor, but he doesn't know who it is. He's convinced that the Brotherhood as a whole doesn't want Valmor resurrected. It was a pain sealing Valmor last time. Long story short, there is no more shrine nearby, they've got to go to East and North Isles. Zucca tells her to head to ClearWater Village, Uhra will join their party once again.

Outside, Sarvius tells them that there is a problem with that plan (he doesn't want to tell it in front of Zucca): they don't have a boat. Scarllet says that there's a pirate cave near Ganto. They can steal a boat there. Wyatt is reluctant of going that. Telma in the end says "???" Apparently it's a bug. Because when I go to Blackrock Road and go to Ganto Village, Telma always says that there is no need to go there because the Thunderhorn Fort is in the West. Problem is, I've got to go East to Ganto and then to the southern tip of the isle to reach Redshark's Den.

Well, I've tried going to Thunderhorn Fort, Kuruma Port, and always running circles in that god*&*&^ Blackrock Road. I've tried going back from just before Beatrice exited the monastery, but it doesn't work!!!

In the  end I give up. F^*&*# this game!! No wonder lots of people are frustrated. Stupid bug! Stupid game! GAAHHHH!!!!

*Sigh*

I'm not sure if re-download it again will be helpful. Beside I will lose my saves and have to start over. I don't want to do that. And thus... I will give up.

There won't be anymore walkthrough for this game. This sucks.

Vagrant Heart's Walkthrough 04_The Monastery

Back to Beatrice. Her group has arrived in Imperial City. Elijah tells them that he'll speak to the Queen first, so they should head to the inn. He tells Beatrice that the queen is a gentle woman and that she shouldn't be worried.

Explore the city to get some items. Don't forget to buy and equip weapons and armors. You can either take off the armors later for Scarllet's group to make it cheaper or just buy some for them. Head to the inn.

Screen time for the meeting between Elijah and Queen Lavigne. Turns out that the queen is not-so-gentle, but scheming. And there seems to be a hidden dept to Elijah aside from an old man who wants power and willing to use people like tools to achieve his ambition.

This is why I want you to equip the weapons and armors before heading to the inn, because you automatically fighting a wyvern. The dragon roars and causing the party to come outside the inn, finding it attacking the city. It's blue in colour and has Ice Beam spell, affecting all party members.

Tips:
poison the wyvern, it will make the fight goes much easier. So far when I tried to mute her it always misses.

You got AGI seed for defeating wyvern. Unfortunately the wyvern escapes. The queen comes out and talks to Beatrice.

You can later investigate the Palace to get some items. Elijah tells them to go to Brotherhood's Headquarters, located south of Imperial City.

In the HQ the group disperses. Remember Aurora? Turns out that Lady Aurora used to be under Razima's protection, but since she becomes Brotherhood's Guide and seldom goes outside she no longer needs it.

Check the HQ for items while Elijah is talking to Aurora. And make sure you speak to all three members of your party, because you can't go on without doing that.

Jansen complained about the difficulties being known as Valmor's son. About how people are suspicious of him because of his lineage even though he was still a kid when the war happened.

Sylph was once a member of Radicals, along with Zemaris, the one who attacked Gilliate. How Elijah saved her life and for that she was grateful and fully devoted to him.

Go to bed and after that you can talk to Elijah and meets Aurora. Elijah tells her that she must've noticed how White Corps (I found out the name of that group at last) and Radicals seem to dislike Brotherhood. He tells her that many people are suspicious of Brotherhood after the war and slow to trust it again. He tells Beatrice that she will be able to recover the declining trust of the people to the Brotherhood.

And then he tells her that a Necromancer named Vasla, Brotherhood's old enemy in the Divine War, is running experiment not too far from HQ. He asks Beatrice to head to Mazlu's Abandoned Monastery, southeast of HQ and finds out what truly happens there.

Fiends:
1. Skeleton Warrior, stronger than Phantom, but has no spell. Poisonable. Got Elfin Bread
2. Phantom, has Intimidating Eyes spell causing mute status. Got Ancient Fruit

It's really hard to avoid fighting the fiends, even if they're halfway across the room they can easily find you. It sucks, not having the option to avoid them.

There's a Rajak's Fragment in the room north of the foyer. You can find Pastor Sigil (INT 4, DEX 2) in the next room and last room to the right of the foyer.

In the last room in the right, there is a boss called Over Ruler. His spell is Crushing Blow. I forgot if it affected one enemy or all. Anyway I fought him when my level is 12 (Sheesh Vagrant Hearts is really stingy when it comes to exp and money... and items). Equip Royal Crest to Beatrice and Jansen, not only their attack is weaker, they have the highest MP). I got 270 exp and 50 tez, plus Heaven Axe (ATK 56 and strong against undead). Equip the axe, now Razima can kill skeleton warrior (and Phantom) in one hit.

You can find a statue in northeast of the dining room. When you touch it, you get the clue about how creepy the statue is.

Actually I've only noticed about the statue after I arrived to the last room with double door in north of foyer. I was stuck, fighting the fiends all over again, and there's still no Vasla anywhere.  Frustrated, I checked the internet. It said thing about empty crate and that you've got to pick the statue in the dining room.

...What empty crate? I've gone back and forth, back and forth, fighting those friggin' skeletons and phantoms, and I still don't understand. It's really frustrating. I understand why some people got fed up with it and uninstalled the game.

Eventually I understand. In the last room in the north there is also a crate with a statue on top of it. Even if you click on the statue, you've got nothing. But there is an empty crate near it, on the left of the crate+statue, that has got no statue on top of it. If you touch it you'll get the clue that there's a statue missing.

Go back to the dining room, touch the statue there, and now you can pick it up. Go back to the last room in the north... fighting every single fiend out there. Put the statue on the empty crate and... VOILA! Nothing happened!

Whuh?

Oh. Go back to the previous room, go to the left. Inside that room, the hidden stairs are now revealed. Go down the stairs, find Vasla and fight her. Right now my party level is around 16.

Tips:
Use poison and mute status spell. She can use Shockwave (paralyze/one enemy) and Acid Rain Spell (all enemy). If you're lucky you'll be able to not miss muting her.

Defeating her will get you 300 EXP, 60 tez, and lightning crest (Shockwave). Vasla says that she's already gotten what she wants from Mazlu (or from Mazlu's hidden library, I guess) and then she disappears using flash trick, causing Razima to comment how he hates flash tricks like that (remember how Telma used it twice before to run away?). They need to go back to Elijah to report what they found.

Go back to the foyer room while fighting against the horde of fiends... again. Before you go outside, make sure to unequip equipments and crests that will be needed by Scarllet's Party.

Now the scene will change back to Scarllet in Ful'qa Tribe after you exit the monastery.

Vagrant Heart's Walkthrough 03

News about Beatrice spreads around Azulel, and she's heralded as 'The Healer'. What I'd like to know is why do they seem to revere someone who can heal so much? I mean, there are crests that allow them to have healing spell, too. Anyway, she's being invited by Queen Lavigne for her part in rescuing the people of Galliete. Dovan or Davon, whoever his name is, talks to the queen. Back to Beatrice, Razima tells her that they're going to the Imperial City.

Weeks have gone by and Sarvius and other members of White ??? are busy repairing their Fort. Apparently Elijah didn't destroy them because Brotherhood will be labeled evil by people if he did it. There are still many things to be done. Sarvius meets up with Scarllet and tells her that Ful'qa tribe, the oldest tribe in Azulel who is known to seldom interact with outsiders, contacted him and summoned for his presence. As Sarvius couldn't leave the Fort because he's overseeing the whole thing, he asks Scarllet to go there in his place.

Because if Ful'qa summons someone, then surely it must be something important.Scarllet agrees. She's told that a member of Ful'qa will be waiting in the Ful'qa tribe area. They must speak to the patriarch of the tribe.

You need to go north west of Ruins of Gilliate.

Scarllet, accompanied by Telma and Wyatt arrive there, and meet Uhra, the Ful'qa's protector. Uhra joins the group. Turns out that Uhra is a woman (although Telma commented sarcastically that Sarvius said a 'he' and not a 'she').

For being the oldest tribe, most of them speak like retarded people, children or house elves. You can buy better weapons and scrolls here. There are heal scroll, imbecile scroll, dispel scroll.... Imbecile scroll, is that perhaps the reason why they all sound like imbeciles? There are also item store there, but not much difference.

Money is pretty tight and so is experience in this game. So far Scarllet is lv 10. Beatrice is much less, because when she fight the Marauders, even though you go outside the Ruins and then enter it again, the fiends (the Marauders) are gone... well, not exactly gone, more like laying on the ground rolling around in pain or like zombies.

Tips:
you can either buy two more armors (forget the name) for Beatrice's group part later or just take out Scarllet's and Uhra's armors, if you choose not to use more money than needed. There won't be that armor sold in the Imperial city to equip Razima and Sylph.

They meet the Patriarch, a man named Zucca who can speak normally. Apparently he was an outsider, but as he was chosen by the spirits what could he do?

He tells them that 20 years ago there is this Divine War in Azulel, and Ful'qa fought against the Brotherhood. Wyatt commented that he didn't know that Brotherhood is involved in htat war, but turns out that it isn't a general knowledge and kept secret. Valmor who's said to be their guide (whose guide? The Ful'qa's tribe's Guide?) and the instigator of the War planned to start it up again...but there's a problem. Valmor is supposed to be dead!

Apparently they can only seal him away into four parts in four vessels, each sent into different shrines. Someone is trying to revive Valmor. Telma wonders if Jansen (yeah, that Jansen), Valmor's son, is responsible for it. They need to secure the vessels before those who plots can do so and revive Valmor again. There is a shrine in the north west of Ful'qa tribe.

Notes: So far I've found seven Rojak's fragments. One is outside of Patriarch Cave.

In the shrine, you have to fight 4 fiends. There is a crystal that if you touch it will refresh your HP and MP. I've noticed that the Inn doesn't seem to have a big part in the game, as they can sleep in the inn for free or in the Fort/HQ according to the storyline. Grinding is pretty annoying in this game.

For some unknown reason, perhaps a bug, Scarllet got Judgment spell (mana cost 0) to deliver devastating attack, one hit KO attack. You can use that spell to defeat the Guardians just by using it once. The Yellow Guardian has a Paralyzing Claw attack that can poison you. Got the Royal Crest, it's a useful one, able to heal the party a little bit with mana cost 8. Defeating the Green Guardian will give you a dispel scroll. The third one, Blue Guardian, can be muted and poisoned, I got Wizard Crest from it. Last is Red Guardian (you can fight whichever guardian you want whenever you want). When I tried to mute, poison or confuse it, the spells miss. I don't know if it its status can't be affected, or perhaps it's just a coincidence, but I don't have much patience to find out, so I just use Judgement. Defeat the four fiends and a path, a portal, appears.

Tips:
If you plan to minimize the money to buy armors, you have to take off Scarllet's and Uhra's armors now.

Go inside the portal. You'll get the first vessel.

Vagrant Heart's Walkthrough 02

Next walkthrough:

Now let's change our main character. Previously, it was Scarllet, now it was Beatrice's turn.

Weirdly, Beatrice can access Scarllet equipments, money, and crests (the ones not being equipped anyway) even though they aren't together. Sibling bond, anyone? Anyway, if you want to use the crests, make sure to unequip them. Do so before talking to Sarvius.

Beatrice who have been left involuntarily by her sister is at loss. Why did her sister suddenly act like that? She talks to Razima, asks him if he ever loves someone so much. Razima goes away, stops in front of Beatrice's room and then says "Aurora..." Apparently he does love someone, but it seems that it doesn't work out or something.

Beatrice goes out of her room and meet with Brotherhood. Elijah tells her that Scarllet was being influenced by a bad group, and assures her that Scarllet will be found and wouldn't be harmed.

Now, he tells the Brotherhood's members about the City of Gilliate who needs their help. Beatrice steps forward, telling others that she wants to help. Sylph has reservation and so is Jansen, but Beatrice remains stubborn. Razima volunteers himself to guard her. Elijah agrees.

And thus they went to the Ruins of Gilliate, because apparently it's no longer a thriving city, but a burning one. They arrives, goes along the main street to the Council House, but the house is blocked, they have to circle their way through. (Near the blocked passage there's a blinking thingy, but I forgot what the buried treasure is).

Beatrice wants to help the suffering people of Gilliate, but Sylph is adamant to go to the Council House without stopping for their mission is to save the Council members. Eventually Razima... or is Jansen? tells her that they can both help the citizens and also the council members. Helping the citizens will also improve the standing of Brotherhood, anyway.

Sylph doesn't like it, but acquiesce eventually. Jansen is happy that they can help the citizens.

There is a mission quest, if you can heal all of the citizens in 15 minutes you'll get a new skill: Maid's Honor (a spell to raise Beatrice's intelligence and magical defense). You can acquire some buried treasures in this city. You'll also need to fight some bands of marauders.

I've got stucked in one part, trying to find a blocked road. Eventually I find that you can enter a house, using its left door and comes out of its right door. Eventually they'll arrive before the Council House.

Tips:
Unequip crests or equipments that you think will be needed by Scarllet's party, you won't have time to do so after that.

Enter the Council House and you'll find Zemarik. This character has a picture, so perhaps later he'll also be a member of your party. The group finds out that Zemarik has burned the city to the ground, telling them that this city is corrupted anyway. And then they'll fight Drake, a companion of Zemarik, the boss in this stage.

Tips:
Use venom tongue spell to poison Drake, or you can use venom scroll, too. If you use venom tongue spell, make sure Beatrice is the one to have it, so you can take her crests with you later.

After defeating Drake, Telma suddenly arrives, use smoke bombs and take Zemarik (or perhaps that guy use that chance to escape, because he doesn't go with Telma) and Beatrice with her. Razima follows them.

The sisters are now reunited!!! Razima follows them secretly though. And he informs the Brotherhood who decides to invade the Fort to take Beatrice back. Lynch doesn't want to go because it's too easy to defeat them, there's no challenge in it, but Elijah insists.

Scarllet's party (and Razima) arrive in the Fort, the Headquarters of the White ??? Beatrice takes some rest because she's tired after healing the people. Scarllet talks to others and sleep. After she wakes up she talks to Beatrice.

Tips:
Use this time to take out every crest that Beatrice has because you'll have no chance for that later.

The sisters go outside, talking, and suddenly the Brotherhood attacks them. The party runs to the bridge (oh yeah, forgot to tell you that the bridge is now no longer missing) but they are being circled by everyone.

Wyatt, Telma, Beatrice, and Scarllet fights Lynch on top of the bridge.

Lynch lynches them (pun is intended). You'd be better off not using any items. Lynch is kinda immortal at this point. So just let him knocks you out. That way you won't waste time. You're simply not meant to defeat him right now. It'll be the best for your time and pocket, not to mention avoiding frustration, to let him defeat you.

Beatrice decides to go back to Brotherhood so they won't hurt Scarllet, much to Scarllet's protests. Although she knows that Brotherhood is not a good group, at least with them she will still be able to help people. With heavy heart Scarllet lets her go. She tells Razima to protect Beatrice.  Razima agress.

Picking What to Write: Vagrant Hearts' Walkthrough

So, at first I don't know what I should write in this blog, but it's definitely need to be something that's more interesting than my boring day2day life. But then I was playing Vagrant Hearts, and when I tried to find the walkthrough for this game I couldn't find it. Either I wasn't too great at searching via online or there really wasn't any walkthrough.

Anyway I decide to write my progress of the game. Since I decided to write the walkthrough only after I reached somewhere in the game, I can only depend on my memory about my previous adventure. So I'm not sure if I've got it right.

Here it is...

Warning: English is NOT my first language.

Vagrant Hearts Walkthrough:

Two sisters, Scarllet a warrior (uses swords) and Beatrice a healer (uses books). Beatrice's talent for healing has awakended, but too late to save their ill mother. Beatrice wants to join Brotherhood, an organization known to help others, but her sister Scarllet doesn't want to let her out of her watchful protection. Brotherhood sends Razima, a Guardian (uses axe), to pick her up, but Scarllet has reservation to let Beatrice go without her with someone and some organization unknown to her, so she decided to join them too, much to Razima's consternation. They planned to go to Karuma Port to meet Grandmaster Elijah, the man behind Brotherhood. Wyatt, a Rogue and also the sisters' neighbour who has a crush on Scarllet is sad to see them go. And so, with a hopeful heart and eager to heal people (Beatrice), concern plus worry (Scarllet), and also annoyed (Razima), the three traveled to Karuma Port via Blackroad Road.

Razima gave the sisters an Apprentice's Crest, because Beatrice gave hers to Wyatt. If you equipped the Crest you'll have access to a spell contained in that crest. There are many crests out there that will be helpful for you.

Fighting fiends such as bees and also tigers, they eventually arrived to Karuma Port. They met Grandmaster Elijah in the inn, along with other characters such as Sylph an Amazon (uses bows), Jansen a warrior (uses mace), Davon (is that's his name? so far I haven't teamed up with him so I don't know what he uses), and also Lynch (don't know what he uses too).

Grandmaster Elijah wants to talk to Beatrice alone and sends off Scarllet (making her angry, so she goes out of the inn annoyed). Make sure you buy things that you need in the item markets and equips them. Afterward go to the dock, there will be Telma a Witch (uses cane/rod) from White ... white something organization, who told Scarllet that Brotherhood has a not-so-good motive and that Scarllet needs to take her sister back. Well, Scarllet doesn't trust her, but she also doesn't trust Brotherhood, and faced with her sister's safety she decided to investigate the claim.

And so Scarllet goes back to the inn, tell Beatrice to go with her, but Brotherhood stops her. Scarllet and Telma runs away, leaving Beatrice there, while twice being attacked in a row. In the second row, Wyatt comes to their rescue, apparently he decides to follow the sisters.

And so, after they beat back the Brotherhood soldiers, their next plan is to go to the White ??? via Blackroad Road. At first their plan is to cross the bridge, but the bridge is missing !!! They have to circle their way through to the Fort. Anyway, in the bridge screen, below the missing bridge there's a cave, inside is a... clown? well, whatever he is, he says that should you collect 20 Rojak's meteor fragment he can create a powerfull crest for you.

Anyway head to the Crimson Forest, southwest of the bridge. You'll meet another character there... I forgot his name, perhaps Travius? He's an old man (uses scepter), someone who Telma thought as a traitor because with his great power he should be the leader of their group instead of going off somewhere else. The sorcerer has a unique ability in that should he was hit by a spell by fiends, he can learn that spell. The fiends will be a Mutant Ent and... a scavenger bird whose name escapes me. There is also a boss fiend, too, and it has an Earth Blast spell (or do I confuses it with the Ent's spell?)

Anyway, eventually they reach the Fort and broken up the group, meeting Sarvius the current leader of the White ??? He tells them that Brotherhood has a good intention once, but no longer. Now they muck around with politic and becomes corrupted. Beatrice is a tool to elevate their standing in Azulel Continent (or perhaps country, whichever). If they want to save Beatrice, he said that they might be able to do that in Gilliate City. It's said that the City was destroyed, and since the Council who is full of nobles need help, then surely Brotherhood will send a group there.

This closes the screen time for Scarllet's group.

Tips:
Take all of Travius' equipments before you enter the Fort. He'll no longer be with you, so it will help you if you sell off his equipment. Make sure you get the crests you have equipped him, too.

Notes:
I don't know what's the uses of spells to increase dexterity, intelligence and all. Does anyone know?
